Does anybody know how to get rid of the album artwork and media controls? It’s completely pointless because I have the shortcuts available on my keyboard or can be controlled via my phone and/or iPad. I think it changed with a recent Windows and/or Spotify update and it’s really, really pissing me off.

I don’t use Spotify, but it’s not buried in the settings somewhere?

The bigger issue is 1366x768 resolution

Yeah there is an update available on my Spotify, it must be a new feature, isn’t there a way to disable it in settings?
EDIT: yes, it was that update, it doesn’t bother me because my resolution is quite high so the icon is small but on yours it looks like it takes a lot of the screen. And I don’t think you can disable it, you could try to find a previous spotify version but I think it updates automatically.

The real issue is your glorification of a known serial killer in your wallpaper.

I know, far from ideal. I don’t have an actual monitor for my PC, it’s hooked up to my TV which is many years old and is 720p native.

I’ve looked in Windows and Spotify, but not as far as I can tell.

I checked the settings/preferences, there’s no ability to turn it off.

I have a bunch of car wallpapers on rotation, you just happened to catch a glimpse of the killer.

If you can find a download for an older version of Spotify, you can install it, then mark where it puts the downloads for updates as read only, so it locks in at a certain version.
